The Tactical Multiband Multirole Radio (TMMR), utilizing Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, is the next-generation tactical multi-band, multi-role radio system that constitutes the Tactical Information Communication Network (TICN) for military applications. It operates as a future combat radio system with no constraints on communication frequencies and enables simultaneous voice and data transmission, facilitating high-speed data communication.

This TMMR system allows for the manipulation of seven different voice communication waveforms and data communication waveforms using software. The analog voice communication waveforms include four types, which comprise HF band AM (Amplitude Modulation) waveforms: HF-AM, VHF-AM, UHF-AM, and VHF-FM. The digital communication waveforms consist of three types, including VHF band FM (Frequency Modulation) waveforms: HF-AM, VHF-FM, and K-WNW.
