We aim to develop an Indoor Positioning System utilizing UWB (Ultra-Wideband) wireless technology among various positioning sensor technologies using wireless technologies in X-Y-Z space.

In 2007, IEEE established standards for distance measurement using RF, specifying IEEE802.15.4a, which incorporates two technologies: IR-UWB and CSS (Chirp Spread Spectrum). Eventually, it is integrated into the IEEE802.15.4-2011 standard. IR-UWB and CSS define communication protocols for distance measurement. IR-UWB measures distance using reflected signals with Impulse Radio, while CSS measures distance using Chirp signals whose frequencies change over time. Both utilize the basic principles of radar, with UWB radar being particularly superior in obstacle penetration and low-power precision detection, often used for obstacle detection.
In the conceptual description of positioning systems, using multiple Anchors can enhance positioning accuracy. By attaching TAGs located within the positioning space and transmitting/receiving UWB signals through Anchors, the system determines the distance of objects based on time delays.
